getting ready to spin

I talked my mom into learning to spin with me. We got a couple drop spindles from here and some undyed fiber. Oh, and the super nice owner, Bridget, at the shop gave me a mini-lesson and even showed me Navajo plying -- so cool. Today I got out 8 ounces of Corriedale top and dyed it in some gorgeous purples. It's hanging from the ceiling fan drying right now and it is beeeautiful! My mom asked for purples so I decided to do hers in medium tones and my half in more pastel shades. I can't wait for tomorrow to come so I can pre-draft it and practice a little on my spinning. Oh, yeah, can't share pictures since the camera I borrowed from my mom went to Alaska with her for a short visit. I'll be sure to get some shots next week of my progress.
