Twisted Knitters do Project Spectrum

I finally remembered to take pics of dyed fiber before just spinning and knitting it. I tend to get excited and just get to knitting before I remember. This is 70/30 Merino/Mohair that I dyed to February-March Project Spectrum colors of blues and greys. I didn't leave any white and the greys just mix to make more greyish blue but I am very happy with how it turned out.

I was inspired by Ted (be sure to go check out what he has to say. He's more wordy than me and very educational) to try knitting with energized singles and started this scarf. It's been fun and challenging to use up a bobbing of singles and then go spin another bobbin to knit with. The second bit I spun was too thin so I had to set it aside and try again. This is a good challenge for me since I have such trouble spinning thicker than lace weight easily. I wish I didn't have to think so much and pay so much attention but, being a bit of a perfectionist, it is satisfying when it turns out right.
This single is spun about fingering weight and I'm knitting on size 6 to make a slightly lacey fabric. I'm expecting the fiber to bloom a little more after it's finished in a nice warm bath.
I'm just hoping I don't make any more spinning too thin mistakes so I don't run out of fiber before the scarf is wide enough.
Oh, and how do you like the outside photos? The weather here has turned a little brighter so I was able to battle the wind and get better pics than usual.
Go check out the Twisted Knitters blog for more stuff that's getting dyed, spun and knit.

That is FANTASTIC color work there! You did good! I need to get on the ball and make something blue too.
