Socktoberfest

I joined socktoberfest, but I haven't taken the time to answer any of Lolly's questions. I'm a very unparticipatory participant but I did buy some sock yarn. This is a lovely sport weight merino in a big 4.5 ounce hank. I can't remember the name on the yarn (it's in the other room and I'm too lazy to go get it) except that it said 'formerly Happy Trails'. I found it in a newish yarn store that I hadn't been to before and the owner gave me a 30% discount in honor of my birthday. It was a great deal and I can't wait to make socks with it. I'm planning on Jaywalkers. Need to finish a baby hat for a shower that's next week first. Maybe Socktoberfest will be the inspiration I need to finally knit a pair of Jaywalkers. I'm having a problem in the finishing department right now. I did finish the other handspun fingerless mitt and handed them to my daughter. I can't wait to dye some more merino and make a pair for me! My sister wants a pair too, judging by the description of how excited she was about them when she described them to her husband and daughters. The girls described the account to me and I got the distinct impression that she would like her own.
Ramble, ramble. I'm done now. Maybe I won't wait a week to post next time. I have lots to share but I haven't been feeling well and I'm just lazy! Bah!
