it's official, i'm a turtle
As I troll around knitting blogland I see so many beautiful finished objects. At my house there are a lot of started objects and not often anything finished. (Truth is, I'd rather throw dye on fabric or yarn.) It just seems like it takes me fooorrreevveeerr to finish anything and I think the reason I don't finish things is because it takes me so very long. Case in point: I cast on (5 measly stitches) for Mim's Icarus Shawl (pattern in most recent IK) two nights ago and knit a few rows. Last night I had time to knit a few more rows. Now I'm up to row 25! Okay, that's like 100 stitiches! I'm a turtle! My 14 year old Daughter the Eldest chose this gorgeous Jaggerspun 50/50 merino silk so I could make her a shawl. I told her it would be an heirloom. But not for her grandaughter! At this rate I'll have it finished to present to her on her 50th wedding anniversary! Yikes, I'm slow! Oh, well, I will press on. And no, I won't show you a picture until I get at least to row 50. Ha! Take that!

Oh, I do the same thing. I am still making my neices quilt. I was supposed to give it to her when she was born.
She's three.
That pink yarn is soooo pretty!
