spinning on

Today I went over to my friend, Mari's, house where she showed me how to use her spinning wheel. Then she let me bring it home to play with. My husband is nervous about this. I really am enjoying my first experience with the wheel. It is so relaxing I may never have another migraine.
My youngest son asked me to teach him so I sat him down and he took to it a whole lot better than the spindle. I was actually quite impressed with the quality of his single. Here's a couple cute pictures of him being very serious.
On the Tour de Fleece front, I am making good progress. I figure I need to do about an ounce and a half a day to get the yellow jersey. Slow and steady will make it to the finish line. And I really love working with the Merino/Tencel. The colors I dyed this fiber turned out really pretty. Here's two pics. One shows how pretty and one shows the yarn better so I decided to post them
both. Because I can.

How clever to have an eager little elf all ready and keen to spin for you!
