Updates
What's that? Oh, my it is! It's a sock! This cute little picot edge Jaywalker has taken me three days so far to knit these measly couple inches. I. Love. This. Pattern. Yep, I'm joined the "I love Jaywalkers" choir! I don't really like how this yarn is pooling but I knew it would be a problem when I picked a yarn with only four colors in the repeat. That's why I dye mine with 5 or 7 colors. Nothing worse than stripey pooling in my opinion. But I'm pressing on because I love how the yarn feels and I need more warm socks NOW. There you have it. Finally a Socktoberfest update.
In other news ... a Twisted Knitters update. I dyed this Superwash Merino in the crockpot. Some how this very bright bump
is becoming this very pretty yarn. I love it. Not sure yet how I feel about spinning Superwash Merino. It's very thin and slippery so my singles are turning out very fine. I just hope I'm putting in enough twist to make a nice fingering weight three ply. Haven't decided yet whether or not to Navajo ply or do up three bobbins. I'm seriously considering doing 6 ounces or so of this so I can make some nice long knee socks. Do I need that much?
It's only Tuesday and my week has been days longer than that already. Dear 18 yo son got in a pretty bad accident yesterday after school. He's had his license for less than three weeks! A sweet little old lady turned left in front of him not yeilding the right of way and he was unable to avoid smashing almost head on into her. Nobody is injured but both vehicles were towed away undrivable. So I've been dealing with the aftermath of navigating the insurance companies (Thanking the Lord it wasn't his fault!) and a trip to the doctor to check out his stiff neck, rental pickup so hubby didn't miss his hunting trip, etc, etc, etc. In amongst all of that I still have all the regular stuff my kids need me to taxi them around to: orthodontist, choir concert, wrestling practice, youth group, football game. And that's just yesterday and today's activities. Wish me luck. Better yet, wish me grace to endure.
I'm off to the next thing.

Hi Jen,
Hi Jennifer,
Yes, the chocolate stuff was good. Thank you. Did pass on the ones I
couldn't eat. Started the silly diet after I joined the swap. Losing weight though, so such is life.
Couldn't find your email, but found your blog. We just got home from a trip to Utah and Nevada. It was fun.
