I finally got around to the Dyeorama Meme. Secret Dyeorama pal, I hope you're still out there, sorry this took me so long. I've been busy dyeing!

Your favorite colors? I love red. My favorite to wear is green although I’ve been dreaming of deep neutrals. Then again, I really like every color including orange. And when you’re talking yarn, you know color really doesn’t matter. Any color can be a gift of socks for someone else.

Preferred yarn weight (Fingering, Sport, DK, maybe even Worsted)? Any. As long as it’s enough to do a little something with.

Do you prefer solid or multicolored yarn? Multicolor

If your buddy is able to do so, would you like a variegated, self-striping, or self-patterning yarn? Yes (hee hee greedy me)

Would you be interested in a wool blend sock yarn (nylon, tencel, silk, acrylic, alpaca, etc.)? I love all of those and have been eyeing the tencel blend yarns. I made some 100% alpaca socks and they are oh so warm and soft! Love them! Yes, I do realize alpaca is totally impractical for socks. What of it. (BTW, no mohair. Love the looks hate the itch)

Imagine the perfect colorway. What would you name it? Pebbles (just cuz I have no clue how to accomplish it)

What was the biggest appeal to you for joining this dye-along? Inspiration and sharing

General yarn/fiber questions:
Have you dyed yarn/fiber before? Yes a little

If so, what’s your favorite dye and method? Hand painted

Do you spin? Only on rides at Disneyland

Have you knit socks before? yep

Do you use sock yarn for just socks or in other patterns too? Mostly socks

What are some of your favorite yarns? Debbie Bliss Cashmerino, Cascade 220 (so many colors to choose from), anything with alpaca

What yarn do you totally covet? Manos kettle dyed wool, cashmere laceweight is on the wishlist in my mind

Favorite patterns? Sophie bag, Pomatomas (still working up the yarn to make them but love the pattern), Clapotis, Seraphim shawl, warshrag from Mason-Dixon book (don’t have it yet but I think that warshrag is fun)

Any pattern you would love to make if money and time were no object? Cashmere shawls for my mom, sister and daughters

Favorite kind of needles (brand, materials, straights or circs, etc)? ADDI TURBO! I also love those metal Silvalumes for sock knitting. I knit tight so metal is the only way for me.

If you were a specific kind of yarn, which brand and kind of yarn would you be? Brown Sheep Worsted – kinda down to earth boring mostly with a tiny bit of (mohair) fuzz just to kick it once in a while – when agitated able to come out changed but every bit as useful as before …sometimes more so.

What is your most inspiring image, flower, or object in nature? The Wrangle Mountains in Alaska viewed from the Valdez highway just above Copper Center
